SAKU ( = Blooming) – 咲く– Program

SAKU is a multiannual support program  to provide strategic support to young talented researchers. The aim is to help them to enhance their potential and expertise domestically and globally. This program is open to those who wish to increase their international research profile by building connections with foreign researchers.

The objective of the program is to allow them to visit more than 2 overseas institutions during a week to 10 day tour.

A few messages from recently awarded 咲く laureates:

1 – Professor Emilio SATOSHI HARA the Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences — SAKU trip – March 2019 (FY 2018).

2 – Professor Zeynep YUCEL from the Faculty of Engineering (Computer vision) — SAKU trip – August 2017 (FY 2017).

Professor Zeynep YUCEL visited Trento University and Milano Bicocca University in Italy — She gave talks there and started new promising connections.
She also gave lectures at a Summer School organized at Hacettepe Universitesi, Ankara (Turkey).
