The first international conference MTSA2017-OptoX Nano-TeraNano8 have been held in the historical city of Okayama from Nov-19th to 23rd 2017 at the Okayama Convention Center. This prestigious international event was focused on combined areas of science and technologies. World leading researcher have reviewed the current state-of-the-art topics and discussed the future prospects in their fields.

The event was an excellent opportunity for Okayama University for strengthening its current relations with Irish academic institutions and in particular with major partners such as University College Cork and Tyndall National Institute.
In 2019, a new edition of this international conference will be organized jointly by Okayama University, Spring-8 (Riken) and Tyndall National Institute (leading organizer Dr. Mircea Modreanu) under the name OPTO-X-NANO 2019. The event will be held again at Okayama Convention Centre.
