On September 25th – 2020, the 2020 Fall Graduation Ceremony at Okayama University took place – in English – in the “Kanemitsu” main hall of the “50shuunenkinen-kan” (五十周年記念館), on Tsushima Campus. Among the 7 Ph-D laureates, 2 of them are strongly connected with global concerns and in particularly with Europe:
Dr. Ahmed SOHAIL – Chemistry – ==> Dr. SOHAIL got Master Graduation at the Malakand University in the North of Pakistan. Then he succeeded in integrating Pr. NISHINA’s group at Okayama University for a 3 years Ph-D course. In the course of his Ph-D, Dr. SOHAIL was granted a ERASMUS support for a 3 months secondment position at Sorbonne University where he performed research in the group of Pr. Juliette BLANCHARD .

Dr. Benoit CAMPEON – Chemistry – Materials Sciences
Dr. CAMPEON graduated in 2017 at ENSIP (Poitiers) in France after a 6 months research Internship in Pr. TERANISHI’s group at Okayama University. Then he succeeded in integrating Pr. NISHINA’s group at Okayama University for a 3 years Ph-D. His specialty: Graphene Oxide chemistry to improve Li-ion Batteries performances, a topics that was granted the Chemistry Nobel prize in 2019 (Professors J.B. GOODENOUGH, A. YOSHINO and S. WITTINGHAM).

Okayama University is gradually becoming a springboard for high-level international professional careers
